Connectedness
This abstract series, which I began in 2018, was inspired by many years of oncology nursing. I have had the privilege of caring for patients and families from all walks of life and from various cultural backgrounds. I have come to realize that...no matter what colour our skin is, what language we speak, what clothing we wear, what religion we follow, what age we are, what gender we are, what sexual orientation we have, what socioeconomic status we come from, what colour our hair is...we are all connected; and we are not so different from one another. With the blending of colours and the vague figurative expressionism, this series is intended to remind the viewer that though people are individually unique, we as a human race, are ultimately more beautiful with connectedness.
